January 31st

Noon in Asbury Hall

Religion has always played an important role in the life of people in Appalachia.  In some areas, there are traditions and customs you won't find in other parts of the country or at least they aren't as common.  So, is there such a thing as "Appalachian Religion?"

Join us for the first J.O.Y. Fellowship lunch of the year as our guest, Dr. Phillip Sherman of Maryville College takes a closer look at religion  in this part of the country and what makes it different.

Chef Amelia is cooking lunch which costs $5.  Please sign up by filling out the form on the left or call the church office at 982-1273.
