  • stations of the cross

    friday, april 19th

    9:00 am to 9:00 pm

    wesley hall

On Good Friday there will NOT be a Noonday worship service. Instead you are invited to participate in The Stations of the Cross. This is an ancient meditative pilgrimage where one walks the Way of Sorrows with Jesus to his death on Calvary Hill.

Depicted in twelve visuals, the Stations highlight pivotal moments in Jesus’ final hours. On Good Friday, The Stations of the Cross will be set up in Wesley Hall from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. A guidebook will be available with scripture lessons and prayers to help you contemplate the final hours of the life of Jesus.

  • GOOD FRIDAY WORSHIP

    FRIDAY, APRIL 19TH

    7:00 PM IN THE SANCTUARY

On Friday evening, we move from the intimate and private setting with the disciples to the very public and humiliating display of ‘justice’ before corrupt power. The story of the crucifixion is read and worshipers leave in darkness. It is a reminder of the hopelessness and finality that was surely sensed among our Lord’s followers. We return early on Easter morning at the sunrise service (7:00 am) to shout the Good News that Death and Hate and Fear are defeated!
