HANDS-ON MISSION BUCKETS

2019

The Hands-on Mission Project is organized by the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church and it is a mission that grows each year.  In the Smoky Mountain  District (where 1st UMC is located) food buckets are filled to be taken to Zimbabwe.  Other districts provide school kits, home buckets, sewing kits and other versions of the food buckets.

The food buckets collected and packed at 1st UMC will be going to the Ishe Anesu Project in Zimbabwe.  Ishe Anesu means "God with Us."  The mission is an

after-school project designed to provide education to the underprivileged children, orphans, and the poorest of the poor.
