Take what you need, leave what you can. Those are the simple instructions for the 1st UMC Blessing Box at the front of our parking lot. Church members made this parking lot pantry to help serve immediate needs for food items.
IDEAS FOR DECEMBER DONATIONS!
During the holiday season you can help ease the fear over food insecurity. Lately, social media has been full of ideas to create "meals in a bag" aimed at making sure people have everything they need to make a particular dish and/or meal.
While you can search the internet for ideas, you can also click on the button below for some ideas and recipe cards. All items should fit in a gallon sized Ziploc bag.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THE RECIPE/INSTRUCTIONS ARE INCLUDED IN THE BAG!
You can place them in the Blessing Box, bring them to the church office or bring them to the 1st Kids Christmas Celebration on December 7th. This would make a great group project for an organization, a Sunday School Class or maybe even a Scout Troop!
Donating items to the Blessing Box is a simple way to put your faith in action. Please bring non-perishable items ONLY. You can put items in the box at any time. At certain times of the year, we may also ask for specific items to be donated so be watching for those.
