The congregation of 1st UMC is beginning a new ministry to care for and support those who have recently lost a loved one or are experiencing grief because of other types of loss. Retired minister Rev. Bill Green is leading this ministry. If you feel God might be calling you to this area of service, to be a "Compassionate Friend," but have questions, there will be an informational meeting to answer those questions on Sunday, August 22nd at 5:00 pm at the church (Wesley Hall).
