What to expect

Whatever time you visit the church, we want to make you feel welcome.  If you have questions while you are here on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights, please seek out one of our greeters or ushers. If it's during the week, the church office is located behind the Sanctuary near the covered pull through which we call the Porte Cochere

Services on Sunday mornings provide you with a choice of Traditional or Contemporary styles of worship.  And for kids ages three through second grade, there is Kids Own Worship.  If you are looking for a place to meet people while studying God's word, then check out one of our Sunday School classes. They are open to people of all ages. Nursery services are also provided during worship.

Wednesday night's Celebrate Recovery worship is upbeat and energetic with a focus on healing hurts, hang-ups and bad habits.  Volunteers are here each Wednesday night to help you find your way around and set you up with an open share group after worship if you want.  A light meal is also part of the Wednesday night routine.

Thursday nights at 1st UMC, the Welcome Table is open to anyone wanting to come and enjoy the food and fellowship.  Just come, find a seat and we will serve you!

the roots of methodism

John and Charles Wesley are the founders of the Methodist Church.

And while there have been many books and papers written about them, this short series of videos gives you a look at them both in a very modern, social media inspired setting.
