On this Sunday evening, the Chancel Choir and Orchestra of 1st United Methodist Church present the annual Christmas Cantata. (It is also presented earlier in the day at 10:30 during our Traditional Worship Service). "Oh, Watch the Stars" centers around the importance of the stars in Christ's nativity story from Advent through Christmas and Epiphany. The musical selections include a variety of works, with both familiar carols and original songs, and it spans from choral classics by Mendelssohn to an arrangement of “Brightest and Best” in the Southern Harmony shape-note hymn style. *The 7:00 pm presentation will be recorded for television, airing over the Christmas holiday.
