GROW IN FAITH WITH 1st KIDS

But Jesus called the children to him and said,

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

Luke 18:16

Through the teaching of the Biblical principles, we help children develop a closer relationship with Christ.

We partner with parents and caregivers to help children learn and apply Christian values in their daily lives.

Please let us know more about your child by filling out our Information Sheet.

SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR JUNE 2023

Taking a look at the Church Letters in the Bible

Paul made several journeys, starting new churches and telling people about Jesus.  He wrote many letters to churches, church leaders, and believers that now make up a large part of the New Testament.  Paul sought to teach truth, correct wrong beliefs, and instruct leaders how to best lead God's people.

In June, kids can expect to learn these lessons and be ready for S'More!

JUNE FAMILY CALENDAR

KIDS OWN WORSHIP FOR JUNE

Whether it’s with LEGO bricks, Minecraft, or Roblox, kids (and adults!) love to make things - and sometimes break them.  On Sundays in June, starting from the very beginning of the Bible, we’ll compare God’s ability to make good things with our tendency to break them.

Through the stories of creation, the fall, Cain and Abel, and the Tower of Babel, we’ll see that God makes good things, unbreaks what’s been broken, and made us different on purpose, so we should honor God with the things we make.

June 4th

Big Idea: God makes good things

Bible Story: In the Beginning, Genesis 1:1-2:4a

June 11th

June 18th

DOWNLOAD THE HABITS APP FOR KIDS

Hey Families!

We have a discipleship initiative that encourages kids and families to track their spiritual habits. We are all used to giving up things for Lent, but sometimes we forget to add new spiritual habits to replace the things we give up.

Which is what the Spiritual Habit Tracker is for!

TO DOWNLOAD THE APP, VISIT THE APP OR GOOGLE PLAY STORE.

Help kids choose their habits

We suggest choosing no more than five habits for most kids. Here are four great ones to start with! Remember some habits might be daily habits, while others might be weekly.

Spend time with God: Talk to God

Spend time with others: Go to church.

Share your story: Tell someone what you are learning about God!

Use your gifts: Do something helpful or loving.

Invite kids to share their habits

We're focusing on spending time with others during this season so make sure to invite other friends and kids to participate with your family. Encourage your kids to share their spiritual habit progress with others. Because when we share, we grow with one another, and our habits are always more likely to stick when we help each other!

Be a cheerleader

Celebrate any win your child has in their spiritual habits, even the smallest ones!

The goal of tracking our spiritual habits isn't about perfection. The goal is to help kids grow closer to Jesus one tiny step at a time!

We would also like to know more about your child's faith journey.  If you would, please fill out our Child Faith Status Survey using the link below and bring it to the 1st Kids Check-In-Desk.
