BBQ & bLUEGRASS

Each summer, near the July 4th holiday, we offer up an opportunity to enjoy great food and music.

The 2025 celebration featured music Gary "Biscuit" Davis on Banjo, Jimbo Whaley on guitar, David Slack on bass and Abbey Tungett playing fiddle and providing vocals. The ensemble played a few traditional numbers mixed in with bluegrass versions of Bryan Adams "Summer of 6

'69" and Journey's "Don't Stop Believing."

These BBQ & Bluegrass events not only feature great music, but lots of great food.  We hope you'll plan on joining us for BBQ & Bluegrass in 2026!

This tradition started back in 2015 when 1st United Methodist Church and Broadway United Methodist Church celebrated 150 years of ministry in the community. It was so much fun, we brought the event back the next year and have been doing this almost every year since.
