After months of discussion, a new respite ministry for people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia is on track to begin soon. The vision of the DayBreak ministry is to equip caring volunteers to create a community of love and support for families coping with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
Once this ministry is fully up and running it will be a part of the mission hub of 1st UMC @Sycamore Tree located at 1830 Clydesdale Street in Maryville. To get this ministry operational there will be a need for both volunteers and people in need of services. Inquiries about both can be made by emailing info@daybreakcare.org . An independent website for the ministry is also in the works.
