Gun violence remains a hot topic of debate in the United States. In Beating Guns:Hope for People Who are Weary of Violence, authors Shane Claiborne (a Maryville native) and Michael Martin are inspired by the image of beating swords into plows to illustrate the need for a change of heart in the debate over this moral issue.
