We find something curious in Luke's Gospel. Though John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit "even before his birth," Jesus was not. That happened when Jesus was an adult. Being led by the Holy Spirit, Jesus went into the wilderness for 40 days in preparation for his forthcoming ministry. As we near the end of the Lenten Season, we ask ourselves how embracing Lent as a season of preparation can help us work on the mission/ministry before us.
