Ash Wednesday (Traditional Worship)
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent, a period of time lasting 40 days (not counting Sundays.) This is a time to remember that God has extended an extraordinary welcome to everyone.
During this time together, there will be a focus on our sinfulness before God and our human mortality. As part of the service you will be invited to have ashes put on your forehead in the shape of The Cross as a visible marker of your faith and practice.
