Ash Wednesday (Online Service)
Ash Wednesday is the first day of the Lenten season, a time when Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline.
At 7:00 am on this day, you are invited to join a brief online Ash Wednesday Service on the church's Facebook Page, YouTube Channel and Website.
Traditionally, during Ash Wednesday services, the minister would lightly rub the sign of the cross with ashes onto the foreheads of worshipers, a Biblical symbol of mourning and repentance. This year, due to COVID-19 that will not happen.
From Noon to 1:00 pm and from 5:00 to 6:00 pm you are invited to drive through the Porte-Cochere (covered drop off) to receive sackcloth and ashes (not on your forehead) that you can carry away and keep as a reminder through the season of Lent.
