On the Friday before Easter we celebrate the extravagance of Jesus' love as we remember how and why he died on a cross. We remember Jesus' descent into death in this service of Tenebrae, or "shadows." Throughout worship there will be music, special readings and the extinguishing of candles until the room becomes dark. Everyone leaves the service with the hope that Sunday is coming.
