A few years ago, Dolphin Riggs traded her mountain bike and running shoes for hiking boots and trekking poles to find herself in a brand new world. In 2016, Dolphin became the first woman Appalachian Trail Chaplain sanctioned by the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church. Unfortunately she had to decline as she felt something was wrong. Turns out she had breast cancer. During this time of Celebrate Recovery, Dolphin delivers her story of personal recovery from breast cancer and how hiking helped her accept life in her brand new world. Celebrate Recovery is a recovery ministry seeking to reclaim, restore and rebuild broken people into living testimonies for Jesus. Join us each Wednesday evening in Asbury Hall (lower level). It all starts with a meal at 5:30 pm followed by worship at 6:30 and Share Groups at 7:40.
